Our wellbeing services county is geographically the largest and northernmost in Finland; We operate in 21 locations. We employ more than 8,000 professionals and serve approximately 179,000 residents as well as tourists in Lapland.

Salary, terms of employment and employee benefits
Our employees’ salary and terms of employment are based on a collective agreement (työehtosopimus = TES). The applicable agreement, depending on the position, is either the SOTE-sopimus, HYVTES, or Lääkärisopimus (LS). The collective agreements are available in Finnish here.
In addition to the base salary, the pay may include a work experience bonus as well as various shift allowances. Also, our employees are entitled to paid annual leave and a holiday bonus.
Our staff benefits include anniversary gifts and affrodable holiday cottage rentals for personnel.
In addition, we offer our employees furnished apartments for short-term rentals in various locations across Lapland.

Social Services
In social services, you can find employment in areas such as social work, elderly and disability services, assistant roles, or social services management.

Technical and Rescue and First Aid Services
The technical services include positions, such as, in IT and information management, property maintenance, logistics, facility services, fire and rescue operations, and emergency medical services.

Healthcare Services
We have open positions, for example, for practical and registered nurses, care assistants, doctors, psychologists, and laboratory technicians.

Support Services
With us, you can also work in diverse roles in HR and financial administration, development and project assignments, as well as legal and procurement services.
What Do You Need to Work with Us?
Our working language is Finnish. Our employees must have sufficient oral and written Finnish skills. The required level of Finnish language proficiency varies depending on the task. In recruitment and onboarding we use English as a support language when needed.
The educational background varies depending on the position. Typically you need a vocational qualification, a university of applied sciences degree, or a university degree. For example, nurses, social workers, doctors and practical nurses (lähihoitajat) all require formal training and certification in their respective professions.
To work in a social welfare or health care profession in Finland, you must usually have a licence granted by Valvira. Valvira grants the right to practise a social welfare or health care profession on application to professionals trained in Finland and abroad. Take a closer look at the topic on Valvira's website.
Nordic citizens do not need a residence permit to live in Finland. If you are a Nordic citizen (citizen of Denmark, Iceland, Norway or Sweden), register your personal data at the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV). Nordic citizens do not need to apply for EU registration at the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri).
Citizens of EU/EEA countries do not need a residence permit but must register their right of residence at the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) if they stay in Finland for more than 90 days.
Non-EU/EEA citizens need a valid residence permit to work in Finland. The application process is managed by the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri).
